According to Zuckerberg, augmented reality glasses will play a decisive role in this change, becoming the main communication and entertainment tool.

The businessman believes that these devices can provide a more immersive and seamless experience than current smartphones, allowing people to interact with the digital world in a more natural and less intrusive way.

When will this Zuckerberg prediction happen?

Zuckerberg predicted during an interview at Meta Connect 2024: “In 10 years, many people will not carry their phones with them, and will use their glasses for everything.”

Zuckerberg has expressed on multiple occasions his belief that the future of computing lies not in currently known mobile devices, but in smart glasses that will provide a more immersive and practical augmented reality experience.

According to him, although mobile phones have been useful in the technological era, they have reached saturation point and have seen limited innovation. He believes that smartphones have stopped developing significantly and that augmented reality glasses could be the key to the next big breakthrough.
