Mexican diver Arantza Chavez had a bad night in the qualifying round from the three-meter springboard in Tokyo 2020, where he performed with zero points.

In the second round, the national team was unable to finish the jumps from the springboard and fell into the standing pit, so the dive was considered zero by the judges.

It sank under a team of 27 competitors and failed to advance to the special semifinals. However, his partner Aranza Vasquez was able to advance to eighth place.

It was an unfortunate day for Mexican athletes in Tokyo because another of the selectors had an incident while exercising in gymnastics, with interest, and on a trampoline.

Daphne Navarro was unable to finish her start satisfactorily and almost collapsed at the end of her show, thus finishing eighth in the event’s final. However, the result was considered satisfactory because a gymnast from Mexico competed in the event at the Olympics and was ranked in the top 8 in the world.

For his part, goalkeeper Alejandra Valencia was sent off in a close match that ended with a golden arrow in the quarterfinals; The baseball team lost to the Dominican Republic in the first match in Tokyo.
