Mexico at Paris 2024 Olympics: Women's archery team wins bronze against Netherlands

After a strong fight against the Dutch team, the goalkeepers won 6-2 Alejandra Valencia, Ana Paula Vasquez And Angela Ruiz They give Mexico and Latin America their first medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

With a 5-1 win, Chinese Taipei qualified for the semi-finals and will face Mexico in the second semi-final of the tournament. The other bracket pits South Korea against the Netherlands.

The fight to advance to the finals will begin at 08:10 am (Central Mexico time).

With a score of 1 to 5, there is no doubt that the Mexican players are one of the strongest teams in the world in archery. Now they have to wait for a rival to compete on the podium, coming from a clash between Indonesia and China.

Edson Ramirez bows out of air rifle finals

Mexico's Edson Ramirez finished 19th with 628.3 points in the 10m air rifle category. For his part, Carlos Quezada finished 44th with 621.6. Both were eliminated from the finals as only the top eight entered this round.

Alexis Lopez and Miguel Carballo will earn their spots in the semifinals

In the rowing heats, Mexico's Alexis Lopez and Miguel Carballo finished fourth in 6:37:46. Tomorrow they will host the repechage regatta where they will be looking to advance to the semi-finals.
