Chicago — Michael Jordan, Scotty Pippen and Dennis Rodman led the inaugural class Ring of Honor of Chicago Bulls.
The Bulls announced their plans Ring of Honor On Tuesday. The freshman class consisted of 13 men and the 1995-96 team went 72-10 and won the NBA title. The franchise plans to honor the team with a pair of events in January.
The Elementary class Also included were Phil Jackson, Jerry Krause, Artis Gilmore, Jerry Sloan, Toni Kukoc, Bob Love, Chet Walker, Johnny “Red” Kerr, Tex Winter and Dick Klein. Jackson coached the 1995-96 team Michael Jordan, Pippen, Rodman and Kukoc, who leads the cross team and Winter is an assistant coach.
“The Ring of Honor Chicago Bulls “This will be the first celebration to honor the many legends who have helped shape our organization over the past 57 years,” Bulls president Michael Reinsdorf said in a statement. “Competition, hard work and grit.”
Festivals of Ring of Honor Includes a private gala at the United Center on January 11 and a halftime show during the game against Golden State on January 12. Warriors coach Steve Kerr also played on the team Bulls Since 1995-96.
The franchise plans to integrate with it Ring of Honor Every two years, the next generation will be added in 2026. Inclusion criteria for players include spending at least three seasons with the team and being retired from basketball for at least three years.
