The auditorium of the Isabel I University will be the setting in which Miguel de Lucas, illusionist, presenter and student of the Master in Scientific Dissemination will present, in a webinar format, a preview of his Master’s Thesis (TFM) live, on 29 April from 19:00 through the official YouTube channel of the Universidad Isabel I.
The title that he has chosen to present his work in the master is ‘Happiness with Science’. With this presentation of his TFM, directed by Marcos Terradillos and coordinated by Diego Arceredillo, Miguel de Lucas wants to offer a new way of disseminating science through the use of new technologies, science and magic. With this proposal, he will put into practice the knowledge acquired in the Master in Scientific Dissemination, a training that he has taken in recent months at the Isabel I University, as one of the students of the first class of this master, which began in September 2020.
‘Happiness with Science’ is a conference that ‘aims to shed light on a topic of general interest such as happiness. For 45 minutes and strictly direct from the auditorium of the Isabel I University, I will value those relevant aspects that we can use in our favor to try to be happy, studying and sharing some ideas that, from the point of view of the philosophy, history and biochemistry are of vital importance ‘, highlights Miguel de Lucas when defining his lecture.
This performance uses techniques from the world of illusionism as its main methodology, generating feelings of impossibility and using them to introduce some of the concepts differently. The conference format supports audience interaction through direct participation in some of the effects of magic and a final round of questions that, as feedback, will reach YouTube users around the world, thanks to the Canal of the Universidad Isabel I.
