“We are going to provide the country with a well-organised, integrated and synchronized traffic light system. We already have the support of the Transport Commissioner New York and the director who accompanies a team of technicians to see how the traffic light system should look in the Dominican Republic. We will do this from the intranet and then provide a control center where all the traffic lights will work, managed from the intranet, which should have happened a long time ago.

Morrison highlighted plans to improve transportation, such as the implementation of a train connecting Santo Domingo to Las Americas Airport. Additionally, he mentioned the new metro line Alcarizos and growth Monorail in Santiago.

“In a few months, a few years, say the Santo Domingo train, you will see that train arrive. USA airport. A new metro line is also under construction Alcarizos And the work on the Santiago Monorail will continue,” he said.

“We will also soon open two bus routes, from Intranet, along Avenida Independencia and the Duarte corridor in Santiago. These are two of the thirteen we will build throughout 2025,” he said.

The event, which will be held from September 22 to 29, seeks to create awareness among people and authorities about the importance of adopting sustainable mobility habits.
