Phase 2 voting in the 2023 MLB All-Star Scots Poll concluded Thursday and the remaining starters for the July 11 All-Star Game, presented by MasterCard and held at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, were announced by ESPN.
Angels RB Shohei Ohtani and Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. topped their starting lineups in the American League and National League, respectively, during Phase 1 voting, and the players who won Phase 2 will make up the remaining All-Star Game starters, listed below.
Nine different clubs are represented in this year’s chosen starters, led by Rangers with four. The Braves and Dodgers are tied for the NL lead with three starters each, while the Rays and Angels have multiple starters. Eight players won the fan vote for the first time in their careers, including a pair of rookies.
The full All-Star rosters, including backup pitching and position players for both teams, will be announced Sunday at 5:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. Pitchers and bench players, totaling 23 for each team, are selected through a “player’s ballot” and selections made by the commissioner’s office.
