Popular Cuban actress Irela Bravo broke her silence about leaving the island in an interview for La Casa de Maca.
According to him, it was his 94-year-old mother who gave him the strength to decide after traveling to America a decade later.
“Since 2013 I have been coming here to America and they have always received me with great love and affection and I have always come back. But this time my mother told me: 'Daughter, you must close this cycle. You need a change, hope doesn't last long. You have to do things,” he admitted.
“That is why I am here today and have taken this step. And I'm going to be here for a long time,” he promised.
Bravo made it clear that life in Cuba is very difficult. “No one has a secret about the situation that Cuba is going through, it is important, everyone knows, and no one is spared from it,” he said.
