United Kingdom:
From London, visits to the Colombian consulate in London were regular, but very quiet. In fact, many citizens took the opportunity to eat and buy Colombian goods.
Officials said a complete normalcy had been reached when voting began.
Ecuador:
Opposition groups called for a boycott of the rally in Ecuador on Sunday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck.
Colombian ambassador to Quito Manuel Enrique Rosero told Efe that “unfortunately, we had a low turnout” as access roads to Ecuadorian cities where polling stations were set up for the presidential election were closed.
According to Enríquez Rosero, 35,000 Colombians registered to vote in this second round of elections, with 10 per cent approaching the exercise of their right to vote since the process began last Monday.
