(CNN Spanish) — Peru's Interior Minister, retired National Police General Victor Torres, confirmed his resignation this Monday afternoon, in a statement to the media covering a session of the Council of Ministers chaired by President Tina Bolvard.
Torres told reporters that he was resigning for health, personal and family reasons and that he was leaving quietly without being fired or censured.
