Santo Domingo, June 16.- Agents of the Department of Investigation (DICRIM) and prevention agents on duty at the Southern Regional Directorate of the National Police arrested five members of a dangerous gang dedicated to the theft of motorcycles through fraud in an agency. They worked in Barahona province.
The inmates, as accomplices, stole motorcycles of different brands and models, worth millions of pesos.
They are Aroa Karina Suero, Manuel Giménez Acosta, Luis David Pérez, Jean Carlos Feliz and Luis Hernesto Suero, all residents of Barahona and employees of a motorcycle agency in that city, from where they may have stolen more than 20 motorcycles.
The police report indicates that out of the mentioned total, seven consignments were identified from the list because they were not there and the unscrupulous did not have time to enter them into the system.
According to the police, the arrested persons had sent the motorcycles through the company's system in the names of persons unrelated to the conspiracy and then sold them clandestinely.
Investigations are still ongoing to determine the possible participation of others involved. Prisoners will be placed in the custody of the judiciary.
