This afternoon, the Office of the Attorney General (FGR) conducted a raid on the offices of Corporación ARGOZ SA de CV, to strengthen investigations, after some illegalities committed by the subdivision company against people who sold a lot. , without registering them in their name.
The trial was overseen by Attorney General Rodolfo Delgado and Housing Minister Michel Sol.
Likewise, the prosecutor’s office raided the home of its main leaders, which resulted in the capture of Leticia Farfán and Rodrigo Javier Gómez Farfán, “leaders of this fraud carried out on several Salvadoran families,” the agency alleged.
“The defendants lived in luxurious residences in exclusive areas of El Salvador, where searches were conducted and $37,919.73 in cash and five vehicles were seized,” the FGR recounted.
According to the prosecutor’s office, ARGOZ is dedicated to selling properties in rural areas of the country without owners and without legal permits to prepare parcels.
The FGR says the subdivision offered properties ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 at affordable prices, with payment facilities, and entered into promissory-sale contracts in the name of other companies where victims paid very low fees.
But once the payments were made, the buyers tried to register them with the CNR, only to realize that the lands were not registered as property of ARGOZ Corporation, so they could not go through the proper procedures.
