The interview went viral on social network X, where Korea could be seen getting very upset by the question about her possible political aspirations.

The debate began when Vélez asked Ecuador's former president if he wanted to return to government, to which Correa refused to answer, insisting it was his and his country's problem.

Rafael Correa exploded when the journalist insisted that the former president finally answer that question.

“I would do it if I wanted to, and I wouldn't have to explain it to you.”Rafael Correa promised.

Faced with this, journalist Luis Carlos Vélez lost control and told the former president that he had no balls and was a dictator.

“You've always thought you didn't have to explain yourself to anyone, and that's why you're a dictator.”said.

The situation created a reaction in Ecuadorian society, with some believing that the interview reflected Correa's intention to return to power.
