Saltillo, Coahuila.- In order to train quality human resources, capable of analyzing, systematizing and modeling data generated in the processes carried out in the fields of Science and Engineering, the Center for Research in Applied Mathematics (CIMA) of The Autonomous University of Coahuila opens today the registration for applicants interested in pursuing the Master’s Degree in Data Science and Optimization in the August-December 2021 semester.
This postgraduate program with a research and interdisciplinary approach is aimed at graduates at the undergraduate level, related to the areas of applied mathematics, actuary, physics, chemistry, engineering, economics or administration, who have mathematical training in matters of probability, statistics, matrix algebra and in the area of computing in programming and algorithms topics.
Upon completion of their studies, the master’s graduate will be able to effectively advise the design and implementation of projects that integrate the application of statistics, financial mathematics, algorithms, data mining, machine learning and optimization, for the decision making and risk analysis in the productive and service sectors.
During the August-December 2021 semester, the Master’s Degree will be taught in a hybrid format, for which the classes have been established from Monday to Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and some Saturdays in person at CIMA; The first phase of the admission process is from July 5 to 30, with the registration and delivery of documentation completely online through the page: www.turing.cima.uadec.mx.
Those interested must fill out the admission application and upload in digital and legible format, the letter of intention to enter, the curriculum vitae, the title and professional certificate or examination certificate, transcript or study certificate with a minimum average between 80 and 100, proof of English language proficiency, birth certificate, CURP and a credential-type photograph.
While, from August 2 to 12, the preparatory and preparation course for the EXANI-III admission exam will be held, which will be applied on those dates; Likewise, on August 7, the psychometric test will be carried out, on August 6 and 13, interviews with applicants by the Postgraduate Coordination and on the 15th, the results will be notified to applicants; Registration will be on August 16 and 17 and the start of classes on the 18th.
