Round Robin – Hosuna scores home run, Giants beat Lycee 2-1

Marcel Hosuna scored a home run in the fifth inning and beat Gigantes del Sipao 2-1, Tigres del Sipao this Wednesday at the Quiscua Juan Marichal Stadium.

With the win, the Chibao team extended its lead to the first round of the round robin with a record of 6-2, with Lycee finishing second with 4-4 and the Eagles and Stars finishing third with 3-5.

In a match that started late due to rain, the Giants’ hill side allowed four wins from the Blues.

Game winner Annie Romero (1-1, 4.15) finished the innings with one win, one walk and five strikeouts. Saved by Ryan Guzml.

Albert Abrew (1-1, 0.87) pitched 5 1/3 innings with three wins, one run and three strikeouts.

Marcel Hosuna scored a solo home run from Albert Abrew in the fifth inning to give the Giants a 1-0 lead.

In the ninth inning Juan Francisco drove a run to the right in the second round for Chibao’s team.

The Tigers got their lives in the single goal of the ninth Louis Barrera.
