This type of intervention is carried out in different public spaces for use by the community, such as squares, squares, flower beds, lagoons.
The municipal Undersecretary of Infrastructure and Urban Equipment, Marcos Pereyra explained that “in this area we carried out a comprehensive comprehensive sanitation operation that included general cleaning tasks, eradication of mini-garbage dumps, weeding and crown lifting.”
He made it clear that this “was the first stage, since then we will move forward with the restoration of the chapel and other infrastructure spaces of this historic place of Resistencia, in particular the bathroom and the deposit.”
“We will continue working to leave the mangrullo and the sculptures in good condition, following the instructions of the mayor, planning that they be presented in February,” he stressed.
Emblematic place
The chapel of San Buenaventura del Monte Alto is located at kilometer 7.6 of National Route 16, and can be entered through the collector heading towards Corrientes.
It was a reduction of the Vilelas Indians of the mid-nineteenth century administered by Franciscan friars and founded to evangelize the natives.
Since then, it has functioned as a place of sporadic worship and declared a Provincial Historic Site in 1964, when the chapel was rebuilt and other improvements were made.
