On Saturday, June 29, Santander will host Iberdrola Spain's “Espacio Idola”, an initiative through which the company aims to promote women's sports and which arrives in the Cantabrian capital after its premiere last week in Barcelona.
This was announced at a press conference held by the Social Promotion and Sports Advisors, Fran Arias and Beatriz Bellon, accompanied by Eduardo Lobato, Iberdrola's commercial representative in the northern region, who encouraged Santander residents and especially family members to join. The event, which took place in collaboration with the Santander City Council, will take place in Alfonso Square.
More than 2,000 square meters of fun, in a space that will host throughout the day exhibitions, a climbing wall, a skate park, modified football, athletics, a sports museum, a raffle for a trip to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and live music, with a concert by the artist Belén Aguilera. “Espacio Ídola” aims to encourage the athletes ahead of the impending event in Paris, presenting not only the successes to the community, but also the path that Spanish athletes have taken and will follow.
