The Andalusian Junta inaugurated the “Vuela” space in the Autonomous Local Authority (OAL) for economic promotion and employment in El Bosque, replacing the Guadalinfo Center and representing an important step towards the complete digitalization of Andalusia. This space, with an area of 100 square metres, is dedicated to the digital inclusion of local residents through training, education, public services and strengthening connectivity, with an investment of 3.5 million euros by the Andalusian Junta in the area.
The mayor of the city of El Bosque, Ruben Corrales, stressed the importance of having an advanced technological space that makes citizens’ lives easier. On the other hand, the Advisor to the Presidency, the Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification, Antonio Sanz, and the Andalusian Junta Government Delegate in Cádiz, Mercedes Colombo, affirmed the Junta’s commitment towards a promising digital society. This initiative, which turns the Guadalinfo centers into “Puntos Vuela”, aims to improve the services and technology available to the more than 250 annual users of this center in El Bosque. In addition, Vanessa Beltran, Deputy of Culture, stressed the Andalusian Regional Council’s support for the digital revolution in society, through a support line and an agreement with the Council that includes large investments in several projects.
The Voila space will host more than a hundred workshops throughout the year, covering areas such as basic digital skills, graphic design, virtual reality, robotics, artificial intelligence, and e-management. Distributed in 760 centers in municipalities with a population of less than 20,000, Voila Points will provide personalized attention, open Wi-Fi, safe areas for remote working and spaces to experiment with emerging technologies such as robotics, 3D printing, virtual reality and drones.
