In dialogue with the program “Mano y contramano”, one of the members of the Carilafquen Popular Library collective, Alejandro Verné, referred to the proposal to expand the space that this institution has in Villa Los Coihues. “In this time of physical isolation we have prioritized the expansion of our library, to be able to accommodate more people, to be able to hug each other and continue to meet,” he said.
That is why they have launched different contribution bonds to be able to pay for the materials for the expansion. “We are half short of funds, because the main income is from the buffet at events,” he said. The membership fee has a value of $ 35 per family.
The works for the moment will focus on being able to roof the front part, close to a space of around 50m2. “The idea is to be able to provide a better service in the future to those who come to carry out cultural activities here,” he said. “We have a group of 40 colleagues who support the library, and an interesting government system that gives us results,” he added.
Those who wish to collaborate may do so with bonds of $ 300 and $ 500 pesos in a Banco Nación account by calling 2944664455. In addition, those who want to help in the construction can go to the library this Good Friday (April 2), or every Sunday.
