At the National Gallery of Art (GAN), the first conference for the image and space arts was opened, which was attended by the deputy minister of image and space arts, Mary Bemjen.
In this regard, the President of the Bolivarian Network of Venezuelan Plastic Artists, Roger Bastardo, informed that until Saturday, May 7, the working groups of the conference will discuss artistic proposals for all regions of the country.
During the symposium, four working tables will be held, where the following topics will be discussed:
1) The National System of Events, Honors and Awards.
2) Balance and views of museums.
3) Strategies for creating a permanent art gallery.
4) Organizing the first conference of plastic artists in Venezuela.
This initiative stems from a proposal made by the Minister of People’s Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas.
The plenary session will take place on May 10, the artist’s day, and all proposals will be formally handed over to Minister Villegas, according to the newscast, Café Cultural.
The organizing team of the conference will be responsible for the president of Iartes, Zacarías García, Roger Bastardo, Rodrigo Benavídez, Miguel Baloa, Vielma Rosa, Ximena Benítez, Luis Daniel Barrios and the philosopher Nelson Guzmán, the organizing team will be responsible for the Decolonization Chair, made up of Damaris Scott and Ora Campos.
In addition, it was also attended by the Director General of the Institute of Image and Space Arts (Iartes), Zacarías García.
