With great expectations, in the morning the municipality formed the Women's Council, a working group on public policies related to gender.
The meeting, which was held in the White Room of the Municipal Palace, was attended by regional legislator Veronica Navarro, the Minister of Education and Equality, Adela Ghirardelli, and the Secretary of the Unity of Intention, Agustín Torletti Mino.
During the parade, the authorities met with women and opponents who will be part of the council. This body seeks to be a space where women and diversity in the city can develop actions from a gender perspective. Within this framework, procedures, geographical intervention points, and work schedules were determined.
Upon taking the floor, Ghirardelli conveyed the Mayor's greetings Eduardo AcastilloWhich affirmed its commitment to the public policies associated with the Women’s Council, and expressed: “Today we meet again to open a dialogue with society in a context that we know is not the most suitable for women and diversity.” “We are working hard to activate this space within the framework of Women's Month,” she said.

The two parties agreed to hold a meeting next week and begin intervention operations in the ten most vulnerable neighborhoods in the city, in accordance with the mayor's directives.
