The patio of the Virgen de Arrate school will open tomorrow as a leisure space

The patio of the Virgen de Arrate public school will be open during the weekends of May and June. The Consistory takes this measure to get leisure spaces for children, on Saturday afternoons. With the opening of the schoolyard of Arrateko Andra Mari, the aim is to provide adequate and safe spaces for children to enjoy the game.

The Eibar City Council has hired a surveillance service to ensure proper use of the facilities. The opening days will be from this Saturday, the 8th, in addition to May 15, 22 and 29, in addition to June 5. The opening of the schoolyard will be from 16:30 to 20:00.

The aim of the City Council is to create more free spaces, for the enjoyment of the kids.

Throughout the first quarter of the year, the Christmas Children’s Park has also remained open, in the Astelena fronton, whose access was made through purchase vouchers, in order to encourage commercial activity and also to create spaces for the entertainment for the little ones.

Two years ago, the City Council already launched a similar experience consisting of the opening of the courtyards of three schools for the use of all children and now this space is being offered again. The opening period then was also on Saturday afternoons, in May and June. The centers that opened their playgrounds were Urkizu, Amaña and Arrateko Andra Mari. This initiative also wanted to provide adequate and safe spaces for children to enjoy the game.
