The Regional Council for Science and Innovation Management was established in Holguin

In the presence of Eduardo Martinez Díaz, Minister of Science, Technology and Environment, the Regional Science and Innovation Management Council of the Province was created in Holguín.

Executives from the main scientific and research centers met with the aim of identifying urgent strategies that would allow channeling the great potential of the 14 municipalities to address the challenges in this sector and thus respond with urgent solutions to the economic and social problems of the nation, in this case focusing on a region with recognized infrastructure and staff trained to provide solutions. Also present were Joel Quibo Ruiz, member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the party in Holguin Province, and Manuel Hernandez Aguilera, governor of the province.

In the exchange, he highlighted the need to establish a consultative structure for government management based on science and innovation, as well as to create tools and platforms for coordinating science priorities. Also, revitalizing the culture and implementation of innovation in the production of goods and services aimed at creating new competitive products, processes and technologies.
