The Consulate General of Spain in Havana has announced the change of opening hours in the “public affairs window”.
Reported by TwitterStarting Monday, June 5, the Public Affairs window will serve the public at the following times:
- Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.
- Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The Diplomatic Headquarters continues to receive requests for nominations for access to Spanish nationality under the Law of Democratic Memory (LMD).
“Please resolve to issue appointments for LMD. Unable to make appointments. Credentials are expiring. Email appointments,” tweeted one user.
Another person wrote on the embassy’s profile: “This reminds me of the legend of the twelve labors of Hercules. The closer you get, they seem to make it harder, and every time you level up in a video game, the difficulty increases. What to do is simple: meeting by mail”.
In the middle of the month, an app contacted our page and said that the Spanish Consular Section had decided to set up appointments for this procedure “from Monday to Thursday, but at undetermined times”.
Appointments at the Embassy of Spain in Havana
“Now you have to check the opening of the computer all the time and hunt randomly when there are meetings (…) Those who know what time and date we are going to open, take advantage of the situation. ,” Exposed.
Many Cubans complained about this fact to the embassy’s publication. “No hours available. To guarantee quality of service, the system will display Monday to Thursday appointments at unscheduled hours”, warns a sign when you try to access the appointment schedule.
Other dissatisfactions are related to expiry of credentials, inability to access them and appointments on the page to request birth certificate.
