Cuban police arrested an alleged “bank robber” in Santa Clara's Jose Marti neighborhood in Villa Clara.

The official description of the Fuerza del Pueblo was that a policeman returning home from his patrol duty found himself red-handed arresting a man “robbing a bank” in the community.

The bench in question is made of granite, as can be seen in the attached pictures. The personal release caused laughter among followers of the aforementioned profile, due to the focus of the information.

Police recovered five benches stolen from the park. They point out that the young man had a “lack of empathy and immaturity” and these traits in his personality led him to commit an act against the urban tradition.

A “bank robber” confessed to the crime.

The looting of park benches reflects a lack of concern for public spaces and community heritage. These types of activities not only damage the urban infrastructure but also affect the community that uses these places for recreation and leisure.

Authorities need to strengthen surveillance and take strict measures to protect public property. Additionally, it is necessary to sensitize more citizens on the importance of maintaining and respecting shared spaces for the benefit of all.
