Those responsible for the assault and wounding of a young Cuban in Bayamo, Granma, have been identified and detained.
Cuban Roniel Ledia, the victim's uncle, said that after his injuries, the young man sometimes did not recognize his family.
“They informed me that the assailants who allegedly attacked my cousin Alexis Alejandro Cisneros Tornes and his girlfriend Daniela García Bori were already detained and under investigation,” he said.
“Alexis has multiple head injuries, a linear skull fracture and a concussion from a blow that caused a grade II subarachnoid hemorrhage, and so far he has evolved as expected, in the words of a doctor, a typical evolution of this type. A skull injury with symptoms of insomnia, no one recognized, moments of clarity. Only,” he explained.
“According to this doctor, we should wait and continue the treatment to remove the cerebral edema and restore its functions. “There are no warning signs like motor seizures, problems with cranial nerves affecting the face, so the evolution is good,” he said.
On the other hand, he commented, “Alexis needs to be examined with a scanner, and for that, for the second time, they have to transfer him to the city of Manzanillo, because the Cespedes hospital in Bayamo, the provincial capital, does not have a scanner.”
Cuba condemned the invasion and demanded justice. “Criminals must pay. They attacked my cousin and he received a bottle blow on his head and several stab wounds which resulted in skull fracture and brain damage,” he said.
