In 2018, Fraser accused the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) of stalking her in 2003 by Philip Berg, the head of the organizing committee for the Golden Globes.
Fraser said the incident left her “withdrawn” and “feeling alone”.
The HFPA concluded that Berg “inappropriately touched” Fraser, but that it was “joking, not for sexual advances.”
When Fraser was asked in a new interview with GQ magazine if he would go to the Golden Globes next year if invited, he replied: “I have more history with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association than I respect the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The Hollywood Foreign Press. No, I won’t.
“It’s because of the history I have with them. My mother did not raise a hypocrite. They may call me many things, but not that.”
The incident occurred at an event at a Beverly Hills hotel in 2003, and Fraser previously told the magazine that she felt Berg’s finger start to “move” around her butt.

He later apologized, but Berg told GQ in 2018: “My apology wasn’t an admission of wrongdoing, the usual: ‘If I offended Mr. Fraser, it wasn’t intentional, I apologize.'”
After conducting an internal investigation, the HFPA concluded that the incident was a hoax. Berg told GQ that he did not face any disciplinary action.
“I knew they were going to close teams,” Fraser said in his last interview. “I knew they were going to kick the can down the road. I knew they were going to get ahead of history. I knew I definitely had no future in that system.”
