A three-year-old girl was shot and killed Saturday morning at a Tamarack hotel, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident happened just after 8:15 a.m. at the Extended Stay America located near the 3000 block of West Commercial Boulevard, the outlet reported. Local 10.
The minor was critically injured, but it is not known whether he died from a stray bullet in the shooting or was shot directly.
Police found her with a gunshot wound and doctors declared her dead on the spot.
According to BSO Public Information Officer Claudinne Caro, the girl was with a girl; However, the relationship between this woman and the victim is currently unknown.

Detectives from the BSO Homicide Unit and Forensic Team investigated the area and the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
