Millonarios could not add to the win against Palestine on date 5 of the Copa Libertadores, and despite progressing on the scoreboard with ambassador Juan Carvajal, the Chilean team finally got a point after a goal by Junior Marabel.

Alberto Camaro's men bid farewell to their fans in this group stage without winning a game or picking up three points at home.

Domestically, Ambassador added three draws and that advantage on his home ground against all rivals in the group ended up being one of the key points to sign off on defeat at international level.

All was not to end there, however, as this elimination in the Libertadores adds to an extensive streak of failing to advance to the round of 16 and accumulating 27 consecutive years without knowing what it means to play at the event.

The Millonarios last advanced past the Libertadores' group stage in the 1997 season, where they were eliminated in the Round of 16 at the hands of Peñarol 3–2 on penalties.

As if that wasn't enough, the Albiazules have had six Libertadores matches and a string of defeats since 2013, their early exit from the international stage.

Now, the Millonarios will have to leave unfinished business and continue to aspire to win the league to return to the competition next year, although for now, the ambassador must close against Flamengo in Rio de Janeiro, where he will seek to leave. With his first win in this championship.
