TULANCINGO DE BRAVO, AUG 29 / NEWS HIDALGO /.- The academic staff that the Polytechnic University of Tulancingo (UPT) has, is again recognized nationally, this time with the invitation made to the Research Professor of this house of studies José Gabriel Ortega Mendoza, to be part of the jury of the Field II: Technology, Innovation and Design of the National Science Award.
The above is the result of the academic career that the professor has, highlighting projects of national impact financed both by the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT), as well as by the Program for Teacher Professional Development (PRODEP); After the application made by this house of studies, the invitation was received by the Award Council.
It should be noted that the Jury of each award field is made up of seven prominent members in each area, belonging to educational institutions and organizations throughout the country; The National Science Prize is the highest award granted by the Federal Government through the Ministry of Public Education, to individuals who, through their productions or teaching, research or dissemination work, have contributed to the progress of science, technology and innovation.
For his part, the Rector of this house of studies, Arturo Gil Borja mentioned that this distinction is the result of constant work on innovation, science and technology, carried out by the institution’s teachers; This will allow UPT students to continue to approach the research carried out at the national level and subsequently participate in these calls with high impact projects; since they have as a reference to great researchers of this house of studies.
