Google Drive, a free cloud storage service from Google, has been a huge success since its launch and is now an essential tool for businesses, writers, and photographers. Freelancers Among others, those who need to exchange information.

However, recently the American company discovered A bug in your computer deletes files from users’ accounts without their permission and without prior notice.

On Google’s help forum, a South Korean user named Yeonjoong wrote that his drive reverted to May 2023, meaning that everything he had saved or created was no longer there.
Yeonjung says in her note that she contacted the Google team in South Korea and they sent her a recovery process, but it didn’t help, so she decided to take the situation directly to Google US.

In response to the complaint, a Google representative publicly responded that the company acknowledges the failure and that the user who reported the issue was not the only one affected by the bug. They are already doing the research needed to solve it.
In the meantime, Google advises its users not to try extreme solutions, such as enabling the ‘Disconnect account’ option in the Drive desktop app or deleting the app’s data folder, which is usually located at these addresses:
