The International Day of Scientific Culture, also known as the International Day of Scientific Publication, is a proposal that has gained popularity since 2020. In Peru, as well as in more than 26 countries, it is celebrated to promote science as an everyday theme. Benefit for all citizens.
In March 2020, the Mexican Society for the Diffusion of Science and Technology (SOMEDICYT) and other scientific institutions in Mexico and Costa Rica joined to publicly present the proposal, which UNESCO has not yet made official.
