The new director of the Miss Universe Puerto Rico pageant, Jesse Cifredo, was announced at a press conference on Wapa TV this morning.
He will be joined by event producer Sonia Valentin and former Miss Universe Puerto Rico Estepania Choto.
George Hidalgo, president of Wapa TV, was in charge of the announcement, stressing that the team has a mission to search for the island’s sixth beauty crown.
“The first thing I have to say is thank you,” Cifredo replied, then admitted that “I fell in love.” “I’m excited because I’re confident in the teamwork,” he continued before introducing Estafania Soto, who will serve as the event’s development supervisor.
The appointment of the current member of the “Noticentro at Dawn” morning presenters occurs less than a year after Denise Quinones’ departure from the competition direction, which is currently the title held by Michael Cologne.
During the last edition of the Miss Universe International pageant, during which the Queen of Puerto Rican participated in Israel, the programming director of the station was Sonia Valentin.
Image consultant Clark Iver and Carmencita Rodriguez are on the task force.
